Today Fishing Kolkhoz Vostok-1 is well known in both overseas and domestic markets as a dependable, strong and worthy partner. Our specialties are ecologically clean frozen fish products: halibut, cod, perch, а laska pollock, herring, rays, grenadier, and black cod.

An outstanding position on this list belongs to boiled frozen and raw frozen crab products.
Vostok-1 fishes for Angulatus and Japonicus crabs that belong to the so-called deep sea snow-crab family and occur at the depth of 1,200 – 2,000 meters.

Besides traditional crab products like frozen crab legs and claws, virtually all offal which used to be discarded is now utilized in production. Our unique technologies enable us to produce chitin from crab shell, and then produce chitosan, which is a basic component of numerous medicinal and other necessary for national economy preparations: e.g. those used for drinking water purification, for cleaning of radioactive-contaminated areas, for Narcissus ® preparations which help significantly increase cereals crop capacity and are used for treatment purposes.

We also collect crab liver for subsequent production of ferments with unique properties.

High technological effectiveness makes it possible to leave very little waste; everything is used. The same can be said about fish products.

For example, besides traditional products from cod like headed and gutted cod, cod roe and milt, we produce and successfully sell cod cheeks, tongues, stomachs, heads.

Exporting its products to the markets of the US , Japan , Europe and Asia which are very particular about quality, Vostok-1 has highly qualified employees in every link of the chain “fishing – processing – transportation – storage”. This approach results in superior quality standards.

Successful development, exploitation of new fishing grounds, development and introduction of high technologies into fish and sea products processing have become possible through cooperation with science.

From the first days of its activity, along with production development, Vostok-1 “hoisted the flag of cooperation” with science – with the Pacific Research Institute for Fisheries and Oceanography (TINRO-Center). Vostok-1 and the Institute have been closely working for 10 years now on a number of long-term target-oriented programs.

Fishing Kolkhoz Vostok-1 , employing about 700 people, stands for professionalism plus up-to-date fleet and high technologies. Such trinity is the basis of steady success in the international market.

Fishing rates and production volumes have been continuously growing without damage to quality of finished products. Vostok-1 has a stable financial position, in words of the accounting language, a positive composition of balances.

A new direction of our activity is development of on-shore facilities for coastal fishing, fish and shellfish farming with related infrastructure in the Bay of Vladimir .
